Yourself Fitness by Microsoft
Let me tell how weird I have become. OK, for starters I rented Yourself Fitness from GameFly two weeks ago. I have been considering Gamefly for a while now but was spurred into action when they started offering the free 10 day trial a few weeks ago. I stayed on past the trial though because they suckered me with a free magazine subscription to XBox magazine. Anyway, I digress.
Like I said, I rented Yourself Fitness and let it sit on my kitchen counter for a week before I put it in my Xbox (lazy, I know). Well, I was totally winded after doing the fitness assessment. And, I teach Pilates at our local Y, so I am not totally out of shape or anything. Or, so I thought. The 2 minutes of jumping jacks have made me so sore I am hobbling around like I’m pushing a walker or something.
The game (can you call it that?) is pretty cool, actually. I like that it tailored the workout to my fitness level, informing me I needed cardio more than losing weight, flexibility, etc. And, since my resting heart rate was 85 and my heart rate after those cursed jumping jacks was 189, they’re probably right, LOL.
I am in PAIN today though. You laugh, but I challenge you to do 2 FULL minutes of fast paced jumping jacks. I’ve already decided I am adding cardio back to my routine. If you could have seen me… I am a 30-year-old gheezer.
