More XBox 360 Details – I’m Almost Sick of It… almost
One of my favorite bloggers, Chris Slate, Ed. of PlayStation Magazine and huge Nintendo fan, took a hard look at the 360 and he says he’s excited about it. Chris Slate’s Game Brain
Nice to see someone other than current XBox users are. Here’s the recap of his hands on review.
“360 isn’t nearly as powerful as PS3!” / “Wait, maybe it is!”
“Perfect Dark Zero is god-awful!” / “Hold on — PDZ could be really good!”
“Nothing looks next-gen.” / “Holy s***, PGR3 in-car cam!!!”
He goes on to say:
1. He’s “completely impressed with every aspect of the system.”
2. Launch day will be much cooler because LIVE! is enabled out of the box, meaning people can talk about the 360 launch immediately on LIVE! Makes the launch so much more social.
Games he’s played that sucked:
FIFA Soccer, NBA Live,Need for Speed, Most Wanted. Although, he says he played Need for Speed back at E3 and it wasn’t even close to being finished.
Games he’s played that ruled:
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Graphics are sweet. “Solid Play Mechanics” and spooky (it’s a horror/action game). He said, “This game went from a ‘why bother’ to a ‘must preorder’ just five minutes in.
Games he’s dying to play:
Perfect Dark Zero – Like me, he’s not buying the hype that this game has to suck. He says, “… but after scouring the web (and working my contacts) for every scrap of info and media I can find, my gut tells me that the game will be a lot of fun.”
Project Gotham Racing 3 – Have you seen it? Beautiful. Plus, it’s got an in car camera… Need I say more?
Kameo – Sleeper hit. He’s looking forward to it. Well, darn it, I am too. This sucker looks like Pixar on crack. I must have it.
Of course I would have added Oblivion because I really, really want it. If someone is looking to buy me something ::hint, hint:: I can think of one sweet game to suggest…
