EA Slashing Prices
Electronic Arts is dropping the prices of their current generation games from $49.00 to $39.00. The reason behind the price cut seems to be because of sluggish game sales as consumers wait for the next generation of gaming to blossom.
“$39 is resonating with consumers given the transition,” the company’s communications boss Jeff Brown told Reuters. “There are indications that $39 is a solid and sustainable price point.”
The price drop also includes new releases for current generation consoles, such as Fight Night Round 3, The Godfather, and Black.
