DS helps gaming industry

A few weeks ago I was talking about my unhealthy fetish with Nintendo DSs. I finally got my hands on a DS and played Brain age for the first time. It’s a really neat concept, to improve your brain age by doing simple arithmetic and other types of problems everyday. But that’s not what I’m here to talk about.

The DS phenom is taking affect in Japan with a 30 percent growth in the software gaming industry. However, the hardware market is still limp. The industry is waiting on the next generation of consoles to boost sales. I’m sure the Nintendo Wii will make a splash and improve that aspect of the market.

The DS is easily trumping the Sony PSP by a great majority. Nintendo has sold more than 2.5 million units of the DS lite. Nintendo is also reporting that they’ve sold 16 million DS units in the past few years. That’s an amazing foundation for a handheld platform.

Anyway, if anyone has an old DS they want to sell, hit me up with a price quote. -
