Nintendo Mum at GDC

Play-nintendo has the scoop that Nintendo will be required to be extremely quiet at the Game Developer’s Conference. It’s not that they don’t want to tell us about their upcoming projects but that they can’t. The reason is attributed to an upcoming stock deal and the order is likely in place to prevent the stock price from fluctuating.

Due to a pending major stock trade, Nintendo executives and developers will not be able to discuss any “forward-looking” information at next week’s Game Developers Conference, Wired News learned today

As a gamer this kind of sucks because we will learn nothing about nintendo’s upcoming offering but on the other hand it makes sense as a business move. I just wonder what the deal is.
