‘Wire’ Reports: Mass Effect Delayed, How to Save $100, More…

- Gameloft has announced a license for Shrek the Third to produce a mobile game based on the movie (source)

- I-play has announced that they have signed poker champ Daniel Negreanu to promote their poker mobile products (source)

- Double Fusion, an in-game advertising company, has announced 2 new European executives. Daniel Best is from The Independent and David Miller who formerly headed up Sega Europe’s Brand Marketing division. (source)

-  Jack Thompson, the lawyer who quickly pointed the finger at video games quickly after the VT massacre, has gone after Kotaku for their coverage. That sure is a good way to improve your already damaged public image. (link)

- Mass Effect may be delayed from June to September but then again it might not. CVG first reported the RPG was going to be delayed until this fall but Microsoft has denied the rumors. CVG has cited an Microsoft employee as their source saying it simply hasn’t been announced yet and this is almost surely the case. Verdict: We’re waiting until September.

- Freeware game site GameHippo.com has been sold. Little details on the transaction other than the new owners hope to make it profitable and recoup their investment. (source)

- Game developers Human Head suffered $750,000 in damage after a fire tore through their offices (source)

- The European price for the PSP has been dropped from 199.99 Euro to 169.99 Euro. (source)

1788 – Maryland becomes the seventh state to ratify the Constitution of the United States.

1932 – A vaccine for yellow fever is announced for use on humans.

(Then nothing really happened for a long time…. but now….)

2007 – What goes down this April 28th is equal to, if not surpasses, the magnitude of any of those.
