60 Reasons to Own a PSP (Sort of…)
PSPFanboy has released the first of 60 reasons to own a PSP. I personally have yet to shell out the money for one of the systems hoping for a redesign but perhaps this list will sway my mind. Here are excerpts from their first 5 reasons:
1. The Games
People used to say that the PSP had no good games. Obviously, that’s no longer the case.
2. PSone classics
With a PS3, we’re able to download and play some great PS1 classics.
3. Downloadable demos
Who doesn’t like playing games … especially when they’re free? The PSP has dozens of free demos.
4. Great homebrew games
Titles like Pollo Pollo and Hexaxis showcase some of the amazing talents of the PSP homebrew community.
5. Play Flash games on the go
Love a Flash game on the web? The PSP can play that as well. In fact, some developers have even created Flash games specifically for PSP’s widescreen.
I love the start of this list and the biggest reasons I would eventually consider picking one up is the screen is far superior to the DS (not the lite, I jumped the gun and am stuck with the big one) and the homebrew apps really seem like something I have yet to find with the DS, although the release of the DS internet browser may change that.

Hi Kris,
I am a big PSP fan myself, so I didn’t really need much convincing on the reasons on why one would need to buy a PSP!
However, it is always great to have the logic to convice/persuade others who have different views.
Great post by PSPFanboy (although the original list I believe was contributed by one of his readers TCLCloud).

I still disagree with #1. While the number of good titles has grown, the PSP’s library remains to be wanting. :)
