Virtual Console Hits Milestones
This month Nintendo put the 100th virtual console game onto the popular yet often overlooked service according to GameDaily. We all know that Wii shortages are still prevalent although talk of virtual sales has been relatively quiet. The report sheds light on how popular the retro service is selling 4.7 million games since the service was launched with the Wii back in November.
Every week at least one new game (and typically two to three) are released on the virtual console dating back to before the original NES system all the way up to the N64. Prices for the games range from five to ten dollars.
