Metal Gear Solid 4 - PS3 Exclusive?
Sony doesnt have much of a gaming presence at CES 2008, but it does feature one “tiny” PS3 title quite prominently: Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 4. Playable on the DualShock version of the SIXAXIS, displayed on a massive Bravia television in the heart of Sony’s CES booth, MGS4 also comes with a miniature display that not only promotes the PlayStation 3’s ability to play games at 1080p, it also points to the next Metal Gear Solid as a PS3 exclusive. Is that enough to crush all those rumors saying MGS4 will also come to the Xbos 360? Only time will tell….

I wish these rumours would just die. I am so confused about what will happen. I just hope that MGS4 stays exclusive to the PS3.

I think this rumor was concocted by an Xbox fan. Wishful thinking really. Kiven insists that hardware follows software, but in this case, I beg to differ.
The 360 may have more games now, but things are looking pretty dry for the M$ console this 2008–compared to the PS3 lineup, at least.

Lol. Why blame it on Xbox users? bah. the only reason why i wanna buy a ps3 is mgs4 and probably ff13. the 360 will still have the better gaming experience and the better games even with Sony’s 2008 release sked.

Let’s face it: despite having a great library of games, Xbox users know (yet reluctantly admit) that MGS4 easily trumps their console’s best games. That’s why they hope that MGS4 will make its way to their system.

That’s your opinion, but it’s not a fact. Let me point out that people are a forgetful bunch. They forgot that GameCube was awesome during its early years, and now lambaste the old Nintendo console because of how it (sorta) dropped out of the race in the end.
People also forgot that the Dreamcast was great when it first came out, but all we remember now is how it fared during its death throes.
The point is, what people remember about consoles isn’t how they did in the beginning, but how said console performed afterwards. The 360’s ho-hum 2008 lineup proves just that.
M$ needs to put together a really good lineup for ‘08 because this is where their rival will start to pick up speed–not only because of the PS3’s better lineup, but also because of the 360’s rather weak lineup.
At least, if M$ had a good lineup, there would be some sort of status quo. Do you honestly think that Halo Wars alone would fend off all the good PS3 games coming this year?

Even you, a staunch Xbox 360 user, admit that you’re getting a PS3 for MGS4. And you ask why I “blame Xbox users” for this rumor? I think you already answered the question yourself. ;)

gamecube was “awesome”? puhlease…. it was a very good console but nintendo’s performance was a joke compared to sony in that generation.
i dont even consider it a race….Luigi’s mansion as launch title? uh oh.

LOL good ps3 games? puhlease… id match the 360’s lineup to the ps3 lineup anyday. not to mention backward compatibility…

Well, I’m not riled up. Your reaction towards what I said about the GameCube and Dreamcast merely proves my point further. You may want to do some reading about them.

Hey, I’m just saying, man. If MGS4 wasn’t any better than your favorite 360 games, then why bother getting an “expensive” PS3? Your own answers betray you.
