Like I said, I don’t intend to take anything away from Super Smash Brothers Brawl. In fact, I expect the game to be fantastic.

What I’m saying is that we can’t take Famitsu’s word for it. If you’re familiar with the magazine and its culture, then you must know that it’s reviews for “revered” franchises are mostly marketingspeak.

Their culture in that part of the world is different from yours, so don’t go spewing flame and proclaim the travesty of Gerstmanngate if you find what I’m saying hard to believe.

And there’s no such thing as a “perfect” game, even if there have been Ocarinas that blew people away more than a decade ago.

If there was a “perfect” game, then it should be the only thing we’re playing.

if you have followed the oublication and news about smash in this last year in the official page you will know the potential of the game and thats my case and in my opinion famitsu score was the spected for this game that without doubt will be the really sucess in the new generation consoles games

Perfect scores in Famitsu doesn’t mean a thing if you know the publication’s practices. Famitsu normally gives a perfect score for huge franchises, so this isn’t an indication of a game’s excellence.

To Famutsu, giving perfect scores is more about fan service than objective journalism.

I’m not saying that Super Smash Bros. Brawl isn’t a good game. What I’m saying is a perfect Famitsu score don’t mean shit.
