Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi has previously stated that Resident Evil 5’s main development platform is on the PC. When Eurogamer asked Takeuchi why Capcom was showing the Xbox 360 build of Resident Evil 5 instead of the PlayStation 3 version at Capcom’s Captivate 08 event, Takeuchi clarified that Capcom was requested to show RE5 up and running on a console, due to their hardware similarities it was just faster to port the PC build over to the Xbox 360.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise hits 6.3 million sales

Capcom has reporteed that the latest in its Monster Hunter franchise has shipped over one million units in Japan in merely six days of sale. Monster Hunter 2G for Sony’s PlayStation Portable was released in the region on March 27, with a special edition Slim & Lite PSP bundle also available.
Monster Hunter has definitely attained the status as Capcom’s top-selling franchises, with a total of 6.3 million units sold as of April 1, 2008.

Capcom has announced it will bring the latest edition in its Ace Attorney series to North America on February 12, 2008. While previous entries in the series have focused on the titular character Phoenix Wright, this time players will be controlling series newcomer Apollo Justice. This is the fourth game in the series and the first designed specifically for the DS (previous DS Ace Attorney games were ports of original japanese Game Boy Advance titles).
