Jowood Productions’ expands Nintendo DS portfolio
Liezen, Austria, July 24th 2008; The Austrian games publisher JoWooD Productions expands its portfolio with additional titles for Nintendo® DS™. In cooperation with 3rd party publishers such as „The Games Company“ and „Tivola Publishing“, new games for the handheld system are about to be released in the course of FY 2008.

Nintendo’s Cammy Dunaway talks E3
Nintendo’s Cammie Dunaway talks to Wired and wants to let us know that she’s not fake.
“Tell your blog that I’m really a genuinely smiley, nice person. Because people think I’m fake, smiling up there,” Nintendo’s new executive vice president said in an interview during last week’s E3 Media & Business Summit. Dunaway was referring to the company’s poorly received E3 press conference days before, in which she served as the lead presenter. Gaming fans watching at home, and even some in-person attendees, thought her exuberant performance sounded like false enthusiasm for the company’s lineup of mostly casual games.

Sonic & The Black Knight unveiled
A post over at Neogaf shows that the newest Sonic game is titled “Sonic and the Black Knight” and features Sonic holding a sword. Read that again for me. Sonic + Sword. I have no idea what goes on with Sega these days.
Here’s what we know so far: It is a Wii exclusive Sonic adventure and Sonic will indeed be holding/using that sword. At least it aint a gun…oh wait…

Sony CEO Stringer dismisses Wii as “expensive niche” games machine
Sony CEO Howard Stringer has reportedly dismissed Nintendo’s Wii as an “expensive niche” games machine. Speaking at the Allen & Co Media Conference last week, Stringer said the Wii doesn’t compete with the PlayStation 3 because it doesn’t have the ability to play Blu-ray movies or have full access to the internet. Hmm, where did i hear that before?

Majesco and Mistwalker’s Away Shuffle Dungeon DS
Majesco Entertainment Company, Mistwalker and AQ Interactive today announced a new Nintendo DS RPG called AWAY Shuffle Dungeon. Players take control of the (creatively named ) young hero “Sword,” the sole resident left of the once booming Webb Village, who must (wait for it…) rescue as many kidnapped townsfolk as possible from a mysterious unknown that has been slowly “spiriting them away”. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 Cover
THQ has recently released the cover art for the newest installment in their wrestling series and it features the infamous DX duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H. This year’s version will feature more tag team specific content and features.
The accolade marks an unprecedented fifth time that fan-favorite Triple H has appeared on a cover for the leading fighting videogame franchise, while storied veteran Michaels will make his cover debut.
