Soul Calibur IV has broken Nintendo’s stranglehold on the top end of the British sales charts. At least for this week. Take a look at the chart and only Soul Calibur 4 is the non Nintendo system title that managed to latch on to the top 20.

The Demo for Madden NFL 09 is already out on XBL and the PSN. The 20th anniversary of Madden NFL football is less than two weeks away! Gamers can check out Madden NFL 09, the first sports game that adapts to you, with the Madden NFL 09 demo that is now available on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Players can try out the new Virtual Trainer mode, which allows users to customize the difficulty and gameplay settings, as well as preview the new Madden Moments game mode.

Sony CEO Howard Stringer has reportedly dismissed Nintendo’s Wii as an “expensive niche” games machine. Speaking at the Allen & Co Media Conference last week, Stringer said the Wii doesn’t compete with the PlayStation 3 because it doesn’t have the ability to play Blu-ray movies or have full access to the internet. 2K Games has announced today that it has signed an agreement with Digital Extremes to assist in the development of BioShock for the PS3. Bioshock for the PS3 is scheduled to be shipped to retailers in October 2008 with new features and content. This PPS3 system version of BioShock is being developed by 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes.

THQ has recently released the cover art for the newest installment in their wrestling series and it features the infamous DX duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H. This year’s version will feature more tag team specific content and features.
The accolade marks an unprecedented fifth time that fan-favorite Triple H has appeared on a cover for the leading fighting videogame franchise, while storied veteran Michaels will make his cover debut.
